ONE KILLED IN SOUTHERN IJAW, VIOLENCE IN NEMBE, BRASS.

PDP Candidate Governor Seriake Dickson and APC Candidate Former Governor Timipre Sylva

One person was reportedly killed in Oproma in Southerner Ijaw while violence erupted in Brass and Nembe part of the State on Saturday as the state governorship election got underway.

Report also had it that supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Peoplkes Democratic Party (PDP) clashed in Oporoma resulting in the death of one person.
Governor Seriake Dickson shortly after being accredited in Sagbama confirmed to newsmen that one person was killed in Southerner Ijaw.
He accused the APC supporters of being responsible for the death.
He alleged that the APC supporters attacked PDP members while the police look other way.

Card reader rejects Dickson

It took governor Dickson more than 40 minutes to be accredited as the card reader failed to recognize his finger print.

It also took the same time interval for both the mother of the governor and wife to be accredited by the card reader.

336,000 voters for Bayelsa gov election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said about 336,000 voters were registered for the governorship election with the state capital, Yenagoa having the highest number of 137,000 voters.
