Embassies and diplomatic missions from Saudi Arabia, Russia, Maldives, Congo, Gambia, Croatia, Taiwan and Nigeria have also shown interest in participating in the B2B meet, officials have said.

Trade delegations from these countries are expected to take part through their respective embassies. More than 250 buyers have registered for the annual event focusing on small and medium enterprises so far.

The meet will be held at the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) Trade Fair & Exhibition Centre, which will exclusively feature the state’s steadily-growing SMEs.

“The participating SMEs will get an opportunity to meet industry leaders from across the globe and find prospective business partners,” a statement said here.

SMEs — 200 sellers from 14 districts-in the food-processing, handlooms, textiles and garments, rubber, wood-based industries, Ayurveda, health and cosmetics, engineering, electrical and electronics and handicrafts sectors will display their products.

Pre-event promotional campaigns for the meet included road shows in Goa and Kolkata, facilitating one-on-one meetings between buyers.
