An Abuja-based security expert, Dr. George Uboh, has commended revelations made by the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu, which suggested that all the recoveries made by the commission were intact.

Uboh, who had petitioned the National Assembly and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), seeking information on the status of all asset seized by EFCC, noted that Magu’s declaration before the House of Representatives last Tuesday, partly addressed his curiosity.

The petitioner, in a letter addressed to Magu, which was received by the commission on Thursday, urged the commission to within seven days remit the N1.9 trillion unremitted funds to the federations account. Attached to the letter are documents to backup claims that the commission received about N2.051 trillion recoveries between 2003 and 2013.
