Fernando Verdasco hits insane forehand smash to knock Rafael Nadal out of Australian Open

If you’re going beat 14-time grand-slam winner Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open then it’s best to do it in style – and that’s exactly what Fernando Verdasco did today.
There are no nerves from Verdasco in this Vine as he hammers an unreturnable forehand past his fellow countryman on match point.
The world No.45 was on fire in the first-round match, hitting 90 winners on course to a 6-7 (6-8) 6-4 6-3 6-7 (4-7) 2-6 victory.
‘I played unbelievably in the fifth set,’ he said after inflicting Nadal’s first-ever first-round exit.
‘I don’t know how I did it. I closed my eyes and everything went in.’
