Nigeria: Workers' Salary Arrears - Indebted Governors Should Resign - Aremu

Immediate past National Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Comrade Issa Aremu has asked state governors in the 36 states of the federation that are still owing their workers arrears of salaries to resign their appointments without further delay.
He reasoned that any governor who could not pay workers their monthly salaries when due has no moral right to remain in office.
Aremu also tasked labour leaders at all levels and the impoverished workers to sack indebted governors or they (labour leaders) themselves should also vacate their positions.
The front line labour leader disclosed this in Ilorin on Sunday while speaking with journalists shortly after marking his 55th birthday.
