Sani was on Monday suspended from the party by the executive committee of the APC in his ward, Tudun Wada.
While making the appeal, the elders said they were concerned over the deteriorating state of the party in the state, and had decided to come out to save the party from further problems.
The elders in a statement on Thursday said the suspension of Sani was one example of the result of the degeneration which was bound to occur as a result of the hijack of the remnants of "our party by a clique that believes it owes its loyalty only to Governor Nasir El-Rufai".
The elders maintained that the right to free speech was a fundamental right which the party should uphold rather than breach.
They, however, urged Sani not to take legal action against the party as the matter could be resolved amicably.
